Although there are more and more people downloading e-books, I still think library is the best place for reading. To me, reading is a private communication experience, which requires a tranquil environment so as to concentrate. In the library, keeping quiet is a generally followed discipline. Surrounded by people focusing on their own reading, your mind will naturally quiet down, feeling a sense of peace and well-being, and you’ll find yourself irresistible to joining in the reading, as if it is some kind of solemn ceremony, with the full respect to the knowledge. And this attitude towards reading and knowledge is the most appropriate one. That’s why I think it is better to read books in the library than online.
